Charles Leclerc was spotted cycling home from his Monaco Grand Prix win and fans loved it.

The Ferrari star qualified on pole for his home race and took the chequered flag on Sunday to claim his first win of the 2024 season.

After celebrating with a typical champagne spray on the podium, Leclerc also jumped into the Monaco harbour to revel in his success.

And despite the lavish lifestyle that Monte Carlo is renowned for, he opted to take a simple mode of transport home.

With the Monegasque star still living in the area, a fan video on social media shows him casually riding home on his bicycle.

“He’s just won Formula 1 and he’s riding a bike to his house,” said one voice in the clip.

The 26-year-old was still donning his Ferrari gear and fans showed their appreciation for the driver, who was this time on two wheels.

“The most subtle flex in the history of flexes,” one said on X.

A second added: “This guy is so down to earth. Full respect to Charles and so happy for him as Mercedes fan.”

“My hero,” a third simply said.

Even the official Tour de France account got involved: “Don’t push too hard Charles, save energy for the Tour coming in July in Monaco.”

Leclerc’s win was his first Formula 1 Grand Prix triumph since Austria in the 2022 season and Ferrari’s second for the current year.

He finished ahead of McLaren’s Oscar Piastri and teammate Carlos Sainz in a race that endured a dramatic first lap.

Red Bull driver Sergio Perez was involved in a nasty crash that saw his car lose three of its tyres after a clip from Haas’ Kevin Magnussen.

The race was therefore red-flagged and despite him driving at around 150mph during the incident, Perez was able to walk away.
